Anyone else have a lot of white on the back of their tongue from reflux? my dr said it is from the acid burning, not thrush just curious if anyone else has this? i can't really get it off, so i think my dr is right that the back portion of my tongue is discolored from acid plus if i try to scrape at it with a tongue scraper to get it off. Yeah, i have gerd and a white tongue as well. it is mostly a bacterial buildup between the papillae on the tongue and can be easily scraped off. you may not ever be able to completely and permanently get it to go away, but you can minimize the effects of it by drinking plenty of water, preferably alkalyzed water, and cutting back on your acid.
